McFatty Monday: Then and Now

The other day I was looking at some old pictures, searching for an old favorite of me and DH. I happened to come across some photos from about 5 years ago.

A few in particular stood out to me:

I know bodies change as you get older, and that they really change after you have babies. And I'm OK with that. I guess I just didn't really realize just how much weight I've gained in five years. It kind of sneaks up on you, and you don't notice how much is there until you have a picture or something to compare yourself to.

Unfortunately for you, I don't have any current pictures I'm willing to share. Well, OK - I actually don't have any current pictures. I'll have to remember to snap a few this week.

I'm only about 20 pounds away from my goal! I just (still!) need to watch what I'm eating and try to fit in exercise a few times a week. I'm hoping to be down a significant amount by the time my birthday rolls around in September. It might be hard work, but I'll never make progress if I don't try!

  1. Oh the joys of getting older and having babies. Good luck with reaching your goals. I'm sure you'll get there though. Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier. :)

  2. Weight has been one of those struggles for me since I started having babies. I've been slowly losing some weight since the beginning of the year and hopefully it'll stay off. September is my birthday month and my goal month too. I won't be at mu ultimate goal then, but it'll be a mini-goal. (I have a lot more to lose than you do!)

  3. I need to get back on my grind with my workouts!I've been so lazy. It seems like I can't get it together most days - having a hard time getting up early to workout which I know is beneficial!
    Ughh!
