This is my living room from the kitchen. You can see DH's "man chair" dominates the room. It's perfectly centered in front of the TV and between the surround sound speakers for optimal view pleasure. I don't have an "assigned" seat, and rotate between the rocker and the couch depending on what I'm doing.
The couch is kind of ugly, but it's really comfy! I love snoozing on it in the evenings while DH is watching baseball. You can see my laptop in the bottom corner here, I tried to keep it out of the picture. Guess that didn't work so well.
Another view of DH's man chair. You can also see baby paraphernalia here, and the dog's crate. I tried to hide some of it behind the chair...fail.
More baby paraphernalia. The gate is to protect the TV from the munchkin munchkin from the TV.
This is about the only "adult" part of the room. It's a wedding picture that adds a touch of us to the room, and it's only there because it's behind the Great Gate (mentioned above). Most of the time the picture is face down since Will just knocks it over anyway.
We've been in the house for over 2 years now, but we still haven't done much in the way of painting or decor (mostly due to lack of funds!). I have great plans for it, but unfortunately they'll have to wait. Thanks for looking anyway!
I'm following from BlogFrog! We totally have one of those gates, but right now it protects The Boy from the dog.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice living room :) It looks like a happy place. I LOVE seeing the baby stuff. Babies add so much to life, don't they? : ) I laughed about your wedding picture always being turned over. Kids. Very pretty picture.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness for the Great Gate! Nothing is safe without it - although the child has recently discovered the joy of throwing objects, so things behind The Gate aren't really that safe anymore. Oh well. Like you say...Kids!
